Have you ever had a day so spirit filled you don’t even realize how everything has happened? That happened to me yesterday actually. We finished up debrief in Costa Rica and now it’s a travel day. The entire week has been spirit filled with healings over mental, spiritual, and physical health. And that’s not even scratching the surface!

That’s not what I want to talk about though. Yesterday morning I was sitting in a hammock bored and God said “do you want to let me lead the day?” So of course I said yes to that! Wouldn’t you know it that was the moment Rockie was talking about doing the high ropes course. Y’all. I hate being high up. Or I should say, I hate being high up and jumping/running/being pushed off the edge. So imagine me willingly stepping off! But that’s exactly what happened

(I’m not pictured, this was the day before) so yeah I saw this happen the day before and still went up there and completed the course! And thanks to God I actually loved it and had a great time!

So that’s part one of the day, actually only an hour. During part two the people who went with me wanted to go do archery. I almost said no because I grew up doing that and it didn’t seem like a great time. But wouldn’t you know it before the no could come out God said “trust me” so I went. It was actually really fun and I got to watch some of my squadmates learn how to shoot for the first time.

Okay so, part one and two are done, now onto part three. We all walked back laughing after archery and met with the group planning to take some of us hiking. I really wasn’t planning on this because I thought “no I’ve had a great day already letting God lead, I think I’ll rest.” Well that’s not the plan God had for me. They showed us a picture of the waterfall and God said “come and see” so you best believe that I ran upstairs and changed into a swimsuit in record time. The hike was actually super challenging

That is in fact a picture of them sliding down to a ladder. But the view and swim we got to was incredible!

So now I can say I climbed a waterfall and then fell. (Sorry mom) okay so now I’m exhausted just writing this down, I mean wow we did a lot!

But wait! There’s more! Part four is where I walked back and while passing the lake was told Jackie was getting baptized. The Lord said “stay” and so I did. As Jackie, Ari, and Aaron got into the lake God drew my mind back to a dream he gave me in September of this exact thing happening. September y’all! I didn’t know these people in September! But sure enough looking in my notes where I copy them all down it was there.

So here I sit on a bus during our 13ish hour travel day to the Dominican Republic writing this. And wow y’all! I still can’t believe all that God did for me yesterday! I mean I asked him to lead the day and he did! He took me on adventure after adventure, growing relationships with my friends, growing me, and leading farther into the spiritual gifts he’s opened in me. God is so good y’all!

  1. So amazing how God can lead us and help us grow if only we allow him to. I am so very proud of you! Can’t wait to see you and hear these stories in person! You are looking great! Love you!

  2. What a freakin’ treat! God always shows up and does way more than we can ever ask for or expect. So glad I got to spend part of such a sweet day with you!
