Hello brothers and sisters in Christ, my name is Sarah Mounts. I am a 22yo senior at Arkansas Tech University, majoring in English with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. My parents are Joe and LaWanda Mounts, and I have 9 siblings through them. We started as a foster family when I was 11 and through that we adopted 4 of my siblings. Thanks to my family being a foster family I have learned how to talk with people of all backgrounds and share the Word. I also own a dance studio in Booneville Ar. with my sister. In our studio we not only teach dance, we also share our love of God through ministering to our students and their families. I also serve in the youth ministry at my church in Charleston Ar.
When I was 10-15 my family went to the Tulsa workshop every year, while we were there Adventures in Missions was a group of people I spend most of my time with. From the first time I saw this group, missions work was something I have felt called to. While I was going through my teenage years and into my twenties, I struggled with depression and anxiety due to the sexual abuse I suffered. In the last few years I have grown in my love of Christ and through him I have broken free from the hold these diseases had over me. While I cannot claim my life has always been an easy one, I can say that the struggles I have gone through have made me more equipped to share God’s word with more people.
