Before starting this journey I never gave much thought to how missionaries fund raise. For me it was something I heard about but never really saw, and what I've found it takes so much more work than I've seen. Through all the craziness of sending letters, talking to individuals in churches, organizing bake sales, planning a benefit dinner, and finding donations for a silent auction a strange sense of calm has covered me. Knowing this is the path the Lord wants for me makes my nervousness over if I can raise the funds disperse and in their place settles the calm that can only come from the Lord. Finding more ways to trust the Lord in every aspect of my life is growing my knowledge of God and how he works everyday. I can't wait to see more ways my knowledge and love of God grows along this journey.
